Josh Romney, the son of former Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney , was a first responder following an SUV crash.
The younger Romney took to Twitter on Saturday morning to share what he had seen, as an SUV crashed into a house in a Salt Lake City suburb.
The accident happened on Thursday on the city of Holladay, but Josh Romney waited until Saturday to tweet a smiling picture of himself by the vehicle’s car door.
A couple and their two teenage kids were in the SUV when it crashed into the home, and were treated by paramedics at the scene.
According to Reuters , Josh Romney was returning home after Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday and, as he waited for the light to change, the SUV shot past his car at “highway speed” and careened into the kitchen of a house across the street, he said in a statement.
Romney got out of his car to help, walked to the SUV and opened the driver’s side door and helped each of the occupants to get out.
“What I did to help the people involved in the accident is what anyone else would do who witnessed such a potentially dangerous situation,” Josh Romney said trying to downplay his actions on that day.
Police has released few details on the accident, but they suspect the driver may have had a medical emergency while behind the wheel, according to Salt Lake City Unified Police Department spokesman Lieutenant Justin Hoyal.
At the time of the accident, only a resident that was in the basement inside the home suffered minor injuries, police say.

Josh Romney is one of Mitt and Ann Romney’s five sons, and campaigned with his father and mother in their 2012 bid for the White House.
