John Paul II: Thieves Steal Vial of Pope’s Blood From Church

Thieves have stolen a vial of Pope John Paul II’s blood from a small church in central Italy, and police are conducting a massive manhunt for the suspects, who may or may not be satan worshippers.

In the theft of John Paul II’s blood, police sources and others have speculated that satanism might be involved. “As the late pontiff’s blood would be difficult to sell, Italian police said it is possible the thieves may plan to use it for satanic rites.”

There are apparently only three known vials of the late pontiff’s blood in existence.

A custodian discovered the break-in at the Church of San Pietro della Lenca on Sunday morning.”The thief or thieves made off with a large crucifix and a gold reliquary containing the vial of the blood of John Paul, who will be proclaimed a saint in April. Once John Paul is elevated to sainthood, artifacts from his life will increase in value.”

The church is located in the Abruzzo region east of Rome, an area where the late Pope like to hike or ski. “In 2011, John Paul’s former private secretary, Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, gave the local Abruzzo community some of the late pontiff’s blood as a token of the love he had felt for the mountainous area.”

Further on the satanism allegations,”some Italian Christian groups from the region have raised the prospect that the blood could have been stolen by Satanists, for ritual or as a symbolic gesture, as the date of the theft coincides with the beginning of the new year on the satanic calendar.”

In 2012, a vial of Pope John Paul II’s blood — which was collected after an assassination attempt in 1981 — was stolen from the backpack of a traveling priest. Police later recovered the backpack and the vial, which had been abandoned near an Italian train station in Marina di Cerveteri.
