It’s only two months left before Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard welcomes the arrival of their baby boy. The two hit up a local P.F. Chang’s restaurant last Sunday to get a much needed break before they face the craziness of parenthood.
The 19 Kids and Counting stars were smiling from one ear to another as they took a snap that they shared to their followers on Instagram. The cute photo of them holding the menu raked in more than 60 thousand likes since it was posted. Duggar even called Dilllard as his “amazing hubby” on the caption that she wrote for the photo.
The couple was married June of last year at the Cross Church in Arkansas. They invited over a thousand guests, all of whom witnessed the couple’s first kiss after making their vows. Eight weeks after the big wedding, the couple announced that they are expecting a new addition to their already huge family.
In an interview with Us Magazine , the 23-year-old reality star expressed her excitement about her newest role in life: becoming a mother.
“We prayed together, and thanked God for this new little life. I was screaming and everything,” Duggar admitted.
She recalled how it took three pregnancy tests before the good news was finally brought to them. The first two kits tested negative, while the final kit showed a positive sign.
“I think we would have even been less surprised had it come back positive on one of the first tests.”
Just like with their engagement, the couple couldn’t contain the good news so they decided to let everyone know about their pregnancy even before the first trimester.
“Believing that life begins at conception and that every life is precious no matter how young, we would — even if there were to be a miscarriage — we would still want that child to be recognized,” Duggar said.
While waiting for the arrival of the baby, the couple are enjoying their time by doing a project this year. Their goal is to read the entire Bible from cover to cover. They kicked off the New Year by reading the first three chapters of Genesis, and, come December 31, they plan to finish reading right up to the last parts of the book of Revelation. Jill also finds exercising as a good activity to prepare her body for the arrival of her son. Two weeks ago, she took a gym selfie while listening to a sermon by Pastor Rick Warren.
