Side hugging is a thing of the past for 19 Kids and Counting star Jessa Duggar . The new Mrs. Ben Seewald went from a private no-cameras-allowed wedding day kiss on Saturday to a very public smooch shared with over 600,000 Instagram followers on Wednesday.
Us Weekly reports that this public display of affection is something brand new for the couple — they were only allowed to hold hands and side hug during their engagement. Jessa Seewald’s parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, also required that the couple, and any one of their 19 children who gets engaged or is in a courtship, to be accompanied by a chaperone at all times.

How did Jessa’s dad, Jim Bob, react to the intimate photo that his 22-year-old daughter posted on Instagram? There’s no official statement from Daddy Duggar, but chances are he and his wife, Michelle, approve of her photo, or at least approve of the couple being intimate after waiting for many months to seal the deal.
Jim Bob is firm believer in keeping the intimacy factor alive and kicking in his marriage, telling Today that they are “like a newlywed couple every day” and recently celebrated 30 years of wedded bliss. Michelle states that married women should “say yes to sex,” even when they are tired.
“Be available. Anyone can fix him lunch, but only one person can meet that physical need of love that he has, and you always need to be available when he calls.”
Jessa and Ben were married in front of 1,000 guests on November 1. The ceremony took place at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas. Us Weekly reports that the bride and groom, who chose to share their first behind the scenes, poured two vases of sand into one to symbolize their union.

What’s next for Jessa and Ben Seewald now that they’ve made their fans aware that they are now doing more than holding hands? Perhaps a baby will be on the way soon, with Jessa stating in a recent TLC video that she “ might have more than 19 ” kids with her husband. Her sister, Jill, is pregnant with what some are calling a “honeymoon baby,” so it will come as no surprise if Jessa announces her first pregnancy in the coming months.
