Jessa Duggar could soon be starting a Duggar clan of her own.
The star of 19 Kids and Counting is getting married on November 1, and recently said that she and fiancee Ben Seewald plan to start their own gigantic family. In a new clip aired on TLC, Jessa said she wants to take after her parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar in having a giant family.
Though unlike Jessa’s mother, Michelle, who had 19 kids biologically, Jessa said she may not carry all of her children herself .
“I might have more than 19 kids. Probably not all biological, but I want to adopt a lot,” Jessa said with a smile
The 21-year-old Jessa will have to get started quickly in order to have at least 19 kids of her own, but if she follows after her older sister, then it won’t be a problem. Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard in June, and shortly after the couple announced that they were pregnant with their first child.
Having a lot of children stems from a philosophy that Michelle has instilled in her kids. Earlier this year, Michelle Duggar told Today that a wife needs to be “available” to her husband whenever he might need her.
“In your marriage there will be times you’re going to be very exhausted… Be available,” she said. “Anyone can fix him lunch, but only one person can meet that physical need of love that he has, and you always need to be available when he calls.”
Before they can start working on 19 kids of their own, Jessa and Ben first have to get through their wedding. The couple has followed Jim Bob and Michelle’s strict dating rules, meaning their first kiss will actually be at the altar after being declared man and wife.
The wedding itself will be dry — Jessa said she thinks liquor is “disgusting” — and has been described as a simple affair, despite a guest list of 800 people.
But if all goes according to plan, Jessa Duggar may soon her her own 19 Kids and Counting .
