The actress, comedienne, former co-host of The View and Playboy Playmate married hunky actor and New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) member Donnie Wahlberg on August 31, 2014 at Hotel Baker in St Charles, Illinois. Despite earlier protests that she was too old to wear white and might opt for ivory. Instead, the 41-year-old bombshell selected a white wedding gown and long flowing veil, which contrasted nicely with her crimson red bridal bouquet and lipstick. Earlier this year, the blushing bride confided in People that white was not her color of choice, and there was one particular style that she refused to consider.
“White is a little too white. Ivory I think possibly, for my age…. No ballgowns!”
People have the first photos of the lovely bride wearing a classy white wedding gown as she walks outdoors with her handsome new husband Donnie Wahlberg, 45. She looks radiant and happy in the candid pictures. Calling the bridal gown “over-the-top glamour,” People spilled the beans of McCarthy’s wedding day couture.
The glamorous gown came from NYC department store Bergdorf Goodman, where Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg were seen shopping in July. Bergdorf Goodman carries collections from a multitude of designers such as Naeem Khan, Oscar de la Renta, Reem Acra, Ulla Maija and Vera Wang. The high-end retailer also carries Carolina Herrera, Ines Di Santo, J. Mendel, Jenny Packham, Marchesa and Monique Lhuillier. It isn’t clear which designer McCarthy chose for the happiest day of her life.
According to Daily Mail , the wedding gown selected by Jenny McCarthy featured “a fitted bodice accentuating her ample cleavage and tiny waist, the full ruffled skirt with a long train adding some drama.” Also adding to the drama was the conspicuous absence of Wahlberg brother Mark and his wife Rhea. Despite rumors of bad blood between the artist formerly known as Marky Mark and Donnie’s new bride, Mark cited familial obligations as his reason for missing out on the nuptials. The wedding of Donnie Wahlberg to Jenny McCarthy fell on the same day that Mark’s family decided to celebrate his daughter’s birthday.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg announced their engagement in April 2014 when McCarthy flashed her yellow sapphire engagement ring on The View and broke the happy news to her coworkers on-air. While the youthful blond recounted the story of her beau’s sweet and romantic proposal, he appeared onstage for a quick public display of affection.
It’s hard to believe that the big day has already come and gone, but Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are officially man and wife.
