Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen aren’t the only celebrity couple to welcome a new baby this week. Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and her husband Justin Miller met their baby boy Magnus Hamilton Miller on Thursday.
According to CNN , the 38-year-old Grammy winner and Miller celebrated their one-year anniversary on November 28. This is their first child together.
The couple said in a statement:
“We are so thankful for all the prayers and support and are excited to take some time together as a new family.”
AJC reports that Nettles has been taking a little leave of absence from Sugarland and there is no set date for her return. Nettles’ musical partner, Kristian Bush, said that there was no rush to get Nettles back on stage.
Bush said:
“Our work is so dominating that you can’t tiptoe back in, so we’ll take off as long as we need. There’s no pressure.”
Nettles told People Magazine earlier this year that she was enjoying her time off from performing.
The Grammy winner said:
“I just feel good to rest … I’m happy to just have the opportunity to be at home. I’m throwing things away, organizing [and] putting up suitcases. But I’m feeling great!”
