Jennifer Lopez appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week, and couldn’t help but gush over an adorable note that her 5-year-old son, Max, created for her.
The 44-year-old megastar showed off the letter that he had left for her, which read, “I’ll luv you beyond forever mum.”
Max had also taken the time and effort to draw her a rather spiffing flower too.
Fortunately, Lopez was able to look beyond Max’s poor spelling and rather poor penmanship, which could have ruined his intended message.
There was also no mention of whether Max’s twin sister, Emme, joined her brother in celebrating their mother.
Lopez appeared on the daytime talk show alongside her fellow American Idol judges Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban.
She even got a tad emotional , and had to choke back the tears as she discussed Max’s gesture. “It just made my whole life,” she admitted.
She then remarked, “It says, ‘I’ll luv you beyond forever Mom.’ I’ll cry right now! Stop it! Oh my God.”
She continued, “Beyond forever. That’s the line, that’s it. You know, I came home and it was on my bed and then I opened it and just left it there… [It was] in a big manila envelope, a yellow envelope, and it said, ‘To: Mom, From: Max.’ And I opened it, and I was like, ‘Oh my God.”
DeGeneres then pointed out that this could be the start of a burgeoning career for Max, as she bellowed, “He’s a poet!” Lopez responded, “He’s a genius. Come on, let’s be honest.”

Connick was clearly a bit jealous of Lopez’s child, adding, “That’s amazing. I get notes from my kids, but it’s like, ‘I’ll love you as long as you want if you give me a hundred dollars. All this ‘beyond forever’ stuff, you live in some kind of fantasy world, Jennifer Lopez!” Lopez then confessed, “My son, that’s the love of my life right there.”
Lopez shares joint-custody of her two children with their her ex-husband and their father, Marc Anthony, who is currently dating the Topshop heiress, Chloe Green.
Recently , Lopez also revealed that she probably won’t get married again, stating when asked if she might be walking down the aisle with her current beau, Casper Smart, in the near future, “I don’t know. We’ll see. I don’t know. You know, I’ve always believed in that institution. I believe in it, but it is difficult. I’ve had my challenges, but at the same time I believe in love, and I think that is the main thing.”
