Jennifer Lawrence recently made a special trip while in Monreal to visit a group of sick kids at the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Lawrence was in town to shoot the next installment of the X-Men movie franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse , where she will reprise her role as Mystique. The film is set to be released in May 2016. Despite her hectic schedule, Lawrence made time to chat with the kids, pose for photos, and sign autographs, making the day extra special for the hospital that treats children with chronic illnesses.
After a fun-filled day, the Montreal hospital later shared a series of photos on their Facebook page, noting that they had a great time during her visit.
“A very special visitor stopped by our Canada hospital today. Jennifer Lawrence is in Montreal filming a new movie and she made time to visit some of our #ShrinersCanada kids and staff. Everyone had a great time!” the hospital wrote.
The hospital also took to Twitter to share some photos, which included Lawrence posing with a little boy in a wheelchair.

Lawrence, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, has made stops at children’s hospitals before. For the past two years, the Hunger Games star has taken the time to stop by the Kosair Children’s Hospital in her hometown on Christmas Eve to visit with the young patients, the Huffington Post reports.
“Thank you for visiting the kids yesterday. We know it meant a lot to them and brightened their day,” the hospital said in 2013.
Aside from filming the X-Men movie, Lawrence has also been working on the final installment of the Hunger Games series, where she plays the lead character Katniss Everdeen. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 20. Her other new film, Joy, will be released in December. Lawrence will also be starring in sci-fi thriller Passengers , alongside Guardians of the Galaxy ‘s Chris Pratt and Michael Sheen.
