Jennifer Lawrence’s likeness has been molded into a wax representation of her Katniss Everdeen character from The Hunger Games , the popular movie franchise based off the popular books.

The Hollywood Reporter noted the wax figure of Lawrence’s character came about through the cooperation of producers of The Hunger Games and Madame Tussauds, the world-famous wax-making museum in London.

“Wearing her Catching Fire outfit, complete with bow and a quiver full of arrows, the waxy Katniss has been created in cooperation with Lionsgate, the producers of the Hunger Games film series, while Mockingjay Part 1 is still in theaters and in the lead up to the release of Mockingjay Part 2 next year.”

The article later added that similar figures of Lawrence’s character will appear in the U.S. “Madame Tussauds said Katniss waxworks had also been created for the New York and Hollywood museums.”

Esther Zuckerman at Entertainment Weekly explained how the figures at the various locations will differ.

“Katniss’s garb varies depending on where one encounters her. In London and Hollywood, Katniss wears the leather jacket and knitwear hunting outfit from Catching Fire; in New York, she has on her arena outfit from the franchise’s first installment. At each location, Katniss is placed in an ‘immersive’ setting, meaning you too can feel like you’re fighting an oppressive dystopian regime as you smile for a picture.”

Crafting these Lawrence-like figures likely did not come cheap. UPI reports that each wax figure costs upwards of six figures. “Today, each creation costs $300,000 and takes several months to create.”

So what will fans and critics think of Lawrence’s wax-likeness from Madame Tussauds? That remains to be seen. The museum has a strong reputation, but not every figure has been received positively in the past.

The Daily Mail didn’t think much of a Selena Gomez wax figure that Madame Tussauds revealed earlier this year.

“Selena Gomez, 22, turns 32 in her latest reincarnation as a Madame Tussauds waxwork.

“The American singer’s life size figure, which was unveiled on Thursday in Berlin, looks decidedly aged, with a powdery, washed-out complexion.”

The star of The Hunger Games has been all over the news in 2014. The Inquisitr previously reported on how a song Lawrence performs in Mockingjay Part 1 is currently popular on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

“Not only has ‘Hanging Tree’ climbed the charts in both the U.S. and the U.K., but it has also inspired an equally haunting dance remix.”

The Inquisitr also previously reported on Lawrence’s prominent role as the blue mutant Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past .
