Before Justin Theroux tied the knot with Jennifer Aniston, the actor was thrown one epic bachelor party by longtime friend Jimmy Kimmel. According to Us Magazine , Kimmel threw the party at his house in West Hollywood, where Theroux and his friends drank the night away in Kimmel’s barn bar.
This isn’t the first party thrown by Kimmel on his property. In fact, Kimmel recently told Vulture how he used to host Sunday Night Football gatherings at his home, which quickly turned into wild affairs.
“I would spend all of Saturday preparing and then all of Sunday with my animal friends tearing my house to pieces,” he stated. “I was so relieved, actually, when I finally gave it up.”
Kimmel is fairly close to the newlyweds and even tagged along with Theroux and Aniston a few back for a trip to Cabo San Lucas, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that he hosted Theroux’s final days as a bachelor.
Meanwhile, the wedding ceremony between Aniston and Theroux was attended by a number of celebrities, including Chelsea Handler, Ellen DeGeneres, Lisa Kudrow, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Howard Stern, and Lake Bell. The wedding took place inside the couple’s $21 million estate in Bel Air.
According to People , Jennifer Aniston’s maid of honor was her close friend Courteney Cox, while the best man was Scott Campbell. Campbell is a tattoo artist who is married to Lake Bell and has tattooed Theroux on a number of occasions.
Although the ceremony was attended by some of Hollywood’s hottest stars, the wedding was a complete surprise to most of them. In fact, according to TMZ , many of the guests were under the impression that they were just going to Theroux’s 44th birthday bash and had no idea a wedding was taking place.
After everyone had arrived, mostly wearing jeans and informal attire, Aniston and Theroux revealed that it was actually a wedding and apologized for the trickery.
Meanwhile, during the reception, the couple was treated by toasts from Howard Stern and Robert Downey Jr. while a happy birthday song was performed by Sia. Apparently, the after party really got going with Samantha Ronson acting as the DJ, with some of the guests sticking around until the early hours of the morning before taking their leave.
Following the celebrity packed event, Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston were seen boarding a private jet on their way to their honeymoon in Bora Bora.
