Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel shared a gorgeous, renovated apartment in Tribeca during their brief marriage, which ended at the end of 2012. Nearly three years after their split, the Real Housewives of New York City star continues to fight for her home.
Currently, Jason Hoppy lives in the home with the couple’s daughter, Bryn, who was born one month after they wed, but according to a new report, he could soon be booted from the residence. On July 7, Radar Online revealed Jason Hoppy’s marital home with Frankel was purchased by a trust, who should be given the property post-divorce. Because Frankel claims to have used her money to purchase the home, she feels the trust should then award her with the home. Frankel also claims she should not have to pay Jason Hoppy spousal support because of an agreement they signed in 2010.
Frankel’s lawyer’s statement was as follows:
“On March 12, 2010 the parties executed their Prenuptial Agreement in which they mutually waived spousal maintenance from the other ‘both now and in the future.’ The award of any temporary maintenance, even for one year, was error as a matter of law.”
Frankel and Jason Hoppy got married in 2010 while filming for a reality show.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jason Hoppy appears to have a new woman in his life. Although Hoppy hasn’t revealed his new girlfriend publicly, he and a blonde woman appeared to confirm their relationship during an outing in New York City several weeks ago.
TMZ was first to report the news:
“Jason Hoppy has a new girl — even as his epic divorce with Bethenny Frankel rages on — and this chick has a firm grasp on him. Bethenny’s estranged husband was out on the town Thursday evening with his new hands-on GF after they had dinner in Tribeca.”
In addition to Jason Hoppy’s new romance, Frankel has moved on, as well. However, at this time, it is unclear who she is dating. Earlier this year, she split from Michael Cerussi, and since then she has been linked to a number of men — and she’s been photographed with a few, as well.
Jason Hoppy was seen on The Real Housewives of New York City during the early stages of his relationship with Frankel. He and Frankel then went on to star in their own series, Bethenny Getting Married , which was renamed Bethenny Ever After for season two.
