Jaden Smith and Kylie Jenner are taking their relationship to the next level.
The teens have been dating for a while, and this week Jaden upped his game a bit by getting a gold necklace for his girlfriend. The two were shopping at an upscale crystal shop in West Hollywood when Jaden picked out the expensive bit of jewelry for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star.
The 15-year-old Jaden Smith was seen in a picture standing behind 16-year-old Kyile Jenner as he clasped the necklace on her.
The couple reportedly spent most of the day together, having a romantic lunch at Urth Caffe on Melrose Avenue.
Jaden and Kylie have been friends for a long time, but only in March did the friendship develop into something more.
On Jaden’s 15th birthday, Kylie wrote via social media how their relationship had blossomed.
“Although we can’t remember exactly when we met, I couldn’t be more grateful that we did,” she wrote. “You understand me like not many do and you always know the right time to make me laugh. And no, you haven’t failed once to catch me when I attempt to walk or open the door on my every entrance. Happy birthday to my best friend.”
The two grew even closer as Kylie’s parents went through a very public split. Though her father, Bruce Jenner, has been estranged from wife Kris for some months now, the separation only recently went public.
Faced with an onslaught of reporters and photographers after the split went public, Kylie had a difficult time dealing with it all.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been more over paparazzi and everyone judging me on every damn thing…don’t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes,” she wrote.
But Jaden Smith was able to provide a bit of solace for Kylie Jenner. The two retreated from the attention to share a sushi lunch together, which seems to have spurred them even further in their relationship.
