Rocker Jack White has debuted the music video for “I’m Shakin’, ” which comes to us from his debut solo album titled Blunderbuss.

The song is a cover of the popular R&B hit of the same name. The song was originally performed by Little Willie John, an R&B singer from the 1950s and 1960s.

The new music video features members of both The Peacocks and The Buzzards, the two bands that backed Jack White as he traveled to promote the Blunderbuss album. The video was directed by Dori Oskowitz.

Not only are the two bands present, the ideal of plurality or more specifically “doubles” is shown throughout the video including two Jack White’s playing with the two different bands.

You may recognize vocalist Ruby Amanfu, who was also featured in Jack White’s “Love Interruption” video.

In the video, Jack White’s alternate personalities switch between a blue suit and a black suit and the bands he performs with do the same.

Throw in some dancing and some trembling and we are left with a simplistic video that was beautifully shot. The video might not feature the inventive nature of “ Seven Nation Army” and other Jack White hits, but it gets the job done, and the music speaks for itself.

Check out the jackwhiteiii.com website for such stellar Blunderbuss reviews as this one:

“His songs are often little more than de-fanged blues, lacking the passion and grizzled realness that makes the genre speak to so many people.” -Linda Leseman

Jack White released the new “I’m Shakin’ ” music video on his website, and I have posted it below for your enjoyment:

What do you think of the Blunderbuss album? Is it de-fanged blues or a Jack White classic?
