Ivanka Trump may be the daughter of one of the more controversial men in the United States these days, but she is also a business woman, a wife, and a mother. And based on this morning’s big announcement, Ivanka will soon become a mother for the third time. Trump announced the news this morning on social media, and on her personal website.
Of course, Ivanka Trump is happily married to Kushner Companies CEO Jared Kushner, and the two already have two children together — Arabella and Joseph. Arabella is just starting school, and Joseph is an active toddler. So, there is no better time than to have another child. However, Ivanka had something interesting to share along with the baby announcement — her son’s opinion.
According to a new People report, Ivanka Trump is expecting her third child, and she had planned the perfect baby announcement. The idea was that Arabella would yell “baby number 1,” followed by “baby number 2,” from Joseph. Ivanka would then say “baby number 3,” and hold up a number 3. After that flopped, Trump asked her children if they were excited. While Arabella merely smiled, Joseph was firm — he was not happy. And Ivanka Trump’s facial expression says it all. “Jared and I are thrilled to announce that we’ll be welcoming baby number 3 to our family early next year. It’s an incredible blessing,” Ivanka told People exclusively, adding, “We feel so grateful — and so excited!”
“We wound up having such a fun time in the five hilarious minutes that we were filming, that I had to share the moments that didn’t make the cut … Arabella is a ham and was totally camera-ready, but I had to resort to bribery to get Joseph to cooperate,” Trump revealed in her blog about the “behind the scenes” footage she also shared, adding, “I usually try to feed my kids healthy food, but I gave Joseph his first lollipop ever in exchange for his best behavior. It’s the mommy trick we all say we’ll never do, but when you have multiple children, it’s pretty hard to be above it — it just works too well!!”
Arabella would love a little sister, while Joseph wants a brother. Trump didn’t announce what she was expecting, and it is possible that she has just entered the second trimester and simply won’t know for another couple of weeks. Arabella had her first day of school recently, and one can imagine she is beaming with pride.
“I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have a career that I am deeply passionate about, but, at the end of the day, it’s my family that is at the center of my life — and to be adding another baby to our family is a tremendous blessing,” Trump reveals, adding, “Jared and I are so thankful, and so excited!”
