Teresa Giudice’s family is reportedly at war with her husband Joe’s family. Although Teresa Giudice is nearing the end of her 15-month prison term and preparing to reunite with her husband and their four daughters, drama has reportedly reached new heights back home.
On September 14, a source revealed the following to Real Mr. Housewife .
“There was some tension brewing between the Gorga and Giudice families. Both families are angered over the situation Joe and [Teresa Giudice] are currently in. This has led to a conflict between them. Specifically. [Teresa Giudice]’s family is blaming Joe for the situation they’re in and Joe’s family is blaming [Teresa Giudice]’s.”
Teresa Giudice and her husband received prison terms at the end of last year after pleading guilty to a number of charges of bank and wire fraud. Then, in January, Teresa Giudice began serving her time at the Federal Correctional Facility in Danbury, Connecticut. Meanwhile, her husband, Joe, has been left to care for their four daughters, along with several helpful members of their families.
As Teresa Giudice serves her time, Joe regularly brings himself and his daughters to visit her behind bars. Still, the situation has understandably taken its toll on their families, and according to the report, their lack of support has also added further stress on Teresa Giudice and her husband.
“At a time that [Teresa Giudice] and Joe really need their families to band together and support them, this is unfortunately not happening.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Teresa Giudice’s attorney, James J. Leonard, recently gave an update on her life behind bars. During an interview with E! News last week, Leonard claimed fans could expect Teresa Giudice to return home from prison as a whole new woman .
“She’s in absolute tip-top shape. She’s rock-hard mentally, physically and emotionally. When she comes home people are going to be very surprised. It’s a whole new [Teresa Giudice] coming home… She’s getting back in touch with her faith. She’s spending a lot of time praying in there, and I think the [Teresa Giudice] that comes out of prison is going to wow people.”
Teresa Giudice’s attorney went on to claim she has “so many opportunities” but will “take it one day at a time” when she returns home from prison.
He also added that fans will likely see her soon after she is freed.
Teresa Giudice will be released from custody on December 23.
