Will Selena Gomez soon quit her treatment program?

As rumors continue to swirl in regard to the 24-year-old singer’s alleged romance with Justin Bieber, whom is currently in the midst of his “Purpose World Tour” in Europe, and her rumored drug use, fans are wondering whether Selena Gomez will remain in rehab.

On November 13, an iTech Post report shared details of a possible wedding between Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber and claimed the “Cold Water” singer had visited his former girlfriend in rehab in recent weeks. However, no photos of any such thing have surfaced, despite photographers being close by in Tennessee.

In August, weeks after an Instagram fight with Bieber, which took place around the time of her final “Revival World Tour” show in Auckland, New Zealand, Selena Gomez released a statement to People Magazine confirming she would be taking a break from the public eye due to mental health concerns.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez’s statement explained . “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

In a video shared by the magazine, it was noted that Selena Gomez would be taking a year-long break from her career after her “Revival World Tour.” However, Selena Gomez’s tour was expected to continue through December. So, what really happened was the tour was canceled midway through as Selena Gomez tended the her mental health.

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” Selena Gomez continued.

Around the time Selena Gomez’s statement was shared, drug rumors surfaced. In one report after the announcement, Radar Online claimed the singer had been spiraling downhill after the tragic death of her friend and fellow musician, Christina Grimmie, who was gunned down in Orlando in June. According to the report, Selena Gomez began using a cocktail of prescription drugs, including “Lunesta, Ambien, Klonopin and Xanax” before her loved ones reportedly staged an intervention and checked her into rehab.

In response to drug allegations, a source close to Selena Gomez told People Magazine her break was “absolutely not related to alcohol or substance abuse” and was prompted after she “hadn’t felt like herself” for the last couple of months.

“[Selena Gomez] decided to clear her calendar for the year in order to have this be her priority for future happiness and didn’t want to leave any promoters at bay,” the source revealed. “She feels relieved that she can now make more sense of why she was feeling the way she was and is optimistic about the future.”

As for her possible exit from rehab, a source weeks ago claimed Selena Gomez was starting to feel the physical symptoms of treatment — and she wasn’t happy.

“[Selena Gomez] keeps saying she feels like hell and wants to leave the facility or go switch to outpatient treatment. Everyone is worried,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine.
