Kelly Bensimon is in Miami with the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City — but is she filming Season 7? Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell.
“Bethenny Frankel isn’t the only Real Housewives of New York star hitting the beaches of Miami this week. Ramona Singer and former co-star Kelly Bensimon also threw on their best bikinis and posed for photographers,” Reality Tea reported on December 31. “Kelly and Ramona were spotted all over, both donning their skimpiest swimwear and looking like they were having a lot of fun together.”
Although there were no cameras photographed during Kelly Bensimon and Singer’s outing, the fact they were together appears to hint that Bensimon may be a part of the upcoming season. If she did return to the show, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise. As fans will recall, Bensimon appeared briefly during the show’s sixth season.
“LuAnn asked me to come on with her,” Bensimon told Wetpaint Entertainment of the appearance. “She was like, ‘Will you walk in this fashion show for me and surprise all the ladies?’ And I obviously told her that I would. It was really fun. I got to meet Carole Radziwill, who’s incredibly smart, funny, and charming. She said she wanted to meet some guys to snuggle with, so I set her up on some dates.”
In the interview, Kelly Bensimon revealed what it would take for her to return to The Real Housewives of New York City full-time.
“I loved being on the show and meeting these women and observing their lives. The only way that I would actually ever consider coming back is if I could actually show my real life and be able to celebrate who I am, versus being in a scene with women I don’t know. Forcing an undercurrent makes the viewer really unsettled. Just let the cameras roll, let the women go for it. Why do you stop filming? When we were in Morocco, all of the best things that happened were after the cameras finished. Me sitting in my underwear drinking wine with LuAnn and Sonja crying? I mean, that’s like TV gold.”
Although the only former housewife to confirm her return to the series has been Bethenny Frankel, as reported by the Inquisitr , Jill Zarin’s name has also been thrown out, as has Dina Lohan’s.
“I’ve met Dina a couple of times with Jill. She seems really nice,” Bensimon said of Lindsay Lohan’s mom. “I don’t know her well. I love Jill Zarin. I think she’s awesome spirited, and I think Dina could be fun. But I really think they need to showcase how awesome New York is. There are these amazing, type A personalities, and I think they need to tap into that. If they amp it up, then I’m coming on!”
Kelly Bensimon appeared on the second, third, and fourth seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City .
