Rumors have been swirling for sometime about a possible courtship between Jinger Duggar and Lawson Bates. The pair were linked to one another earlier this year when he was photographed spending a lot of time at the Duggar compound. The Bates boy also sparked courtship rumors when he went to El Salvador early with Jinger and Joseph . However, it is a recent photograph taken at Amy Duggar’s wedding that has reignited the rumors surrounding the potential couple.
Numerous Duggar family fan groups have pointed out that Lawson Bates can be seen standing next to Jinger Duggar in a couple of photographs taken at Amy Duggar’s wedding. The 19 Kids and Loving Tumblr page notes that Trace and Lawson Bates appear to be the only Bates in attendance. They go on to point out that it is highly unlikely that the duo were invited by Amy Duggar; therefore, it was left to speculation that the Bates were in attendance with one or more of the Duggar girls. Many fans are hoping for a Duggar-Bates courtship, with some pointing to Jinger and Lawson as the most likely match .
In fact, earlier this year, Erin Bates proclaimed that a Duggar-Bates courtship is “inevitable.” She went so far as to say that the families see so much of each other that there is likely to be an attraction somewhere down the line.
“I personally think, hey you have 19 kids on each side, I think it’s almost inevitable somewhere down the line. As much as we see each other, I think there’s going to be an attraction somewhere. I don’t know where yet, but I think it’s gonna happen.”
So, has the time finally arrived for the highly anticipated Duggar-Bates match up? One wedding photo from Amy Duggar’s nuptials suggests it could be true.
With all the drama surrounding the Duggar family, it may be that the Bates family is keeping the courtship on the down-low so as not to hurt their own ratings for Bringing Up Bates on the UP Network. Without official confirmation from the Duggar or Bates family, the courtship is simply a rumor. However, many fans seem to think the courtship is likely and that Jinger may be the next Duggar to walk down the aisle.
