Could Jenelle Evans secretly be engaged? Over the weekend, the Teen Mom 2 star celebrated her 23rd birthday, and one of her gifts was a sparkly engagement-style ring. However, according to Evans, it was not from boyfriend Nathan Griffin.
“Former hard-partying Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans celebrated her 23th birthday on December 19 with a low-key, grownup birthday bash,” Radar Online reported on Dec. 22, along with a set of photos from the event. “Baby daddy Nathan Griffith, 26, threw the surprise party at their Myrtle Beach, South Carolina home with family and close friends, who helped the mother of two cut into a personalized cake.”
After the bash, Jenelle Evans, who announced plans to party on her birthday earlier this month, as reported by the Inquisitr , took to Twitter where she thanked her guests for celebrating alongside her.
“Best birthday I’ve ever had in my life!” she tweeted. “Thanks to everyone for coming!”
She also shared a photo of the ring in question, revealing it was a gift from her landlord.

Although the ring wasn’t from Griffin, Jenelle Evans appears to be hoping for an engagement ring. In fact, she follows a Twitter account called “Ring Porn,” which shares photos of glamorous wedding rings. She’s even re-tweeeted one of the account’s photos .
After announcing her second pregnancy in December, 2013, Jenelle Evans revealed plans to marry Griffin in the summer of 2014, after the June arrival of their son, Kaiser.
“It works because he doesn’t like drugs, barely drinks, nothing like that,” Evans told MTV’s Remote Control blog of Griffin in December, 2013.
“I think it would scare me more if I was in the situation I was when I had Jace,” she added of her pregnancy. “Now I’m in a stable relationship and I have my own place, my own car, a job…I can pay my bills. I’m just happy with my life right now.”
Although the couple welcomed their first child together in June, they did not go through with a wedding and have yet to become engaged.
Whatever the future holds, Evans is happy with her current situation with Griffin and proud of herself for saying “goodbye” to her old ways.
“I’ve got my life together now, and I’m a different person from what they’ve seen,” she said of her former critics. “I just can’t wait for them to see how much I’ve bettered my life. I understand if they judge me now, but they won’t judge me soon.”
Jenelle Evans is expected to return in Teen Mom 2 season six in 2015.
