The fresh-faced and extremely popular rock band Imagine Dragons will be performing a special concert in a plane for a small group of lucky fans.
According to the Associated Press, Imagine Dragons is holding a sweepstakes contest to select one fan to venture up 35,000 feet into the air to watch the band perform songs off their upcoming sophomore album, Smoke + Mirrors, as well as hits from their first album, Night Visions. The fan will get to select three of their friends to go up into the plane with them to watch Imagine Dragons perform.
The concert will take place on February 24 and has been officially titled “Live at 35.” The sweepstakes to determine who gets to join Imagine Dragons in-flight will be launched on February 3 and will run through February 16. Fans will also have the opportunity to win tickets to Imagine Dragons concerts on the ground, but only one will hear “Radioactive” miles above the ground for the grand prize package.
Imagine Dragons has teamed up with Southwest Airlines for the airborne concert. The flight will take the band and the fans from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Atlanta, Georgia. The grand prize will also include VIP tickets to the Atlanta show on February 25 and a meet-and-greet with the guys of Imagine Dragons.
Imagine Dragons released the following statement about the contest.
“We can think of no better way to unveil our new album than to travel together with our fans at 35,000 feet, and to play in the same clubs where we started this journey.”
The “Live at 35” event is part of Imagine Dragons’ Ultimate Destination Dragons tour, which will include venues in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas, the band’s hometown. Fans will also have the chance to win tickets to intimate club dates with Imagine Dragons, according to WVIC .
Imagine Dragons’ second album, Smoke + Mirrors , will be officially released on February 17. Smoke + Mirrors is the follow-up album to Imagine Dragons’ Night Visions , which went multi-platinum. Their debut album features hits like “Radioactive,” “It’s Time,” and “Demons.”
