Australian rapper Iggy Azalea recently surprised the world by openly admitting to plastic surgery and claiming that people should be more accepting of cosmetic procedures. But she also stressed her hope that people will eventually stop asking her about her nose job.
“Now I feel like my nose looks the way it’s supposed to look,” Iggy Azalea told Elle Canada . “But for how long do we have to acknowledge that I got a nose job? For the rest of my life? Am I going to be 45 and people are still saying, ‘Nice nose job’?”
Iggy Azalea may come to regret her honesty, because it only became fuel for the long-running beef she has with fellow rapper Azealia Banks.
The two have been lashing out at each other for quite some time, and Azealia Banks recently took it to the next level by responding to Iggy Azalea’s request for silence about her nose job by making fun of her nose job, tweeting, “ur music and nose job are trash.”
To be fair, Azalea did bring up Azealia Banks first. During her interview with Elle , Iggy Azalea mentioned that she would erase the entire memory of their vicious feud if she could.
“If I could, I would Men in Black memory-erase 2015, I totally would… I think the Azealia Banks thing is what really started it all. We don’t like each other on a personal level, and that has gone on for many years.”
Despite Iggy Azalea’s desire to simply let everything go — from the plastic surgery to the Twitter beef — Azealia Banks took those words as another attack.

But Azealia Banks didn’t stop there. While clearly addressing Iggy Azalea, Banks seemed to imply a physical threat toward the Aussie rapper.
“I’m about to take my pettiness to a whole new level. Like, I’m about to do something SO f***ing petty. You’re gonna be gagging all year.”
And before starting the tirade against Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks tweeted, “Let me just kill this b***h.”
As the New York Daily News pointed out , Azealia Banks is not afraid to follow through on physical threats, having appeared in court for allegedly punching a Chelsea club security guard and biting her on the breast.
Meanwhile, Iggy Azalea chose to ignore her rival rapper completely. Her first tweet following Banks’ litany of insults was simply about her own music.
“#TEAM will be released March 21st!” wrote Iggy Azalea.
A follower of Azealia Banks then tweeted at the artist, acknowledging that Banks is only benefiting from the press attention that claims she’s “lashing out” against Iggy Azalea.
“ @ AZEALIABANKS let’s take a shot every time a media outlet reports you ‘lashing out…’ It’s a double if they post your soundcloud at the btm.”
Azealia Banks replied to the tweet, asking if her fans were on board with the idea.
It’s hard to know if Banks is simply attacking Iggy Azalea for the sake of self-promotion or if she sincerely resents the Australian hip-hop star. But Billboard even suggested that Azealia Banks directly addressed Iggy Azalea in a recently released track called “Used To Being Alone.”
In the song, Banks drops the line, “How does it feel to treat me the way you do?”
