Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed shocked fans exactly one week ago after news broke that the couple had tied the knot after a rather short engagement.
Ian and Nikki have been stirring up headlines for quite some time, as the relationship has caused countless rumors when it comes to his past relationship with actress Nina Dobrev. The reports claimed that their relationship may have caused the end of the popular CW show The Vampire Diaries .
After a short six-month whirlwind romance, the two announced their engagement back in January. The couple officially said “I do” on April 26, 2015, meaning that they not only had a speedy engagement, but a rather speedy relationship overall.
While the romance may have been short, it seems as if both fans and some big name celebrities couldn’t be happier for the couple.

Since saying “I do,” the couple reportedly took off for some honeymooning in Mexico. According to E! News , Nikki Reed took to Instagram to post a photo of the two getting rather snuggly while out enjoying some time in the sun.
According to People , this is Ian’s first marriage and Nikki’s second. Nikki Reed finalized her divorce from Paul McDonald in January after the couple split in March of 2014.
No matter what anyone has to say about the speedy relationship between Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed, it seems as if the couple couldn’t be happier!
