The HTC One smartphone officially debuted on Tuesday during simultaneous press events held in New York City and London, England. The HTC One will be the company’s flagship smartphone for 2013.

Featuring a 4.7-inch full 1080p HD display with Gorilla Glass , the smartphone also offers the Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and is built on an aluminum frame with “zero-gap” construction.

The HTC One is super-fast thanks to the inclusion of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor that is complemented by 2GB of RAM.

Also featured is a new 13 megapixel camera that offers the HTC UltraPixel Sensor. According to the company, the new technology is “engineered with larger pixels, it enables each pixel to capture more than 300% more light than most leading 13 megapixel cameras.” The camera also uses HTC Zoe technology which is capable of capturing both HD video and photos at the same time. HTC also allows users to switch between front and rear cameras with a swipe of the smartphones display.

The tech firm also promises bigger sound thanks to the HTC One’s BoomSound platform, which provides dual frontal stereo speakers powered by built-in amplifiers which deliver bigger sound with less distortion and more detail. HTC has also connected its music player to the cloud and now provides song lyrics via the devices visualizer.

HTC has also rolled out a new home screen called “Blinkfeed,” which provides a Flipboard-type navigation which automatically updates with news and images about a users friends. HTC has partnered with more than 1,400 content partners to provide massively changing updates from ESPN, Associated Press, MTV, and others.

The smartphone manufacture is also promising better call quality thanks to two microphones that feature dual membranes for better audio filtering.

AT&T , T-Mobile, and Sprint networks will offer the HTC One in black and silver options this March. Pricing for the HTC One has not been revealed at this time.
