Hillary Clinton’s health has been the focus of the news cycle since she experienced a medical issue where she appeared to collapse during a 9/11 memorial ceremony in New York City. Shortly after the video surfaced showing Clinton almost collapsing, Clinton’s doctor, Dr. Bardack, issued a statement on Clinton’s health which was reported on by the BBC .
“Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday, during follow-up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule.”
The former Secretary of State took some time off of the campaign trail to get some much-needed rest. Now, the Chicago Tribune is reporting that Hillary Clinton will be back on the campaign trail on Thursday.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is dead set on making sure that all the rumors that have sprung up over the last few days end up dead and buried. Since the 9/11 medical issue, some of the rumors that have surrounded Clinton include that she is dead, that a body double has taken her place, and that her health issues are much worse than pneumonia. Many in the conservative media have gone as far as to say that Clinton could possibly have had an unreported stroke, or that she has Parkinsons Disease. By getting back out in front of the public, Clinton should be able to end all of the speculation about her health.
Since her mini hiatus, President Obama and President Bill Clinton have campaigned in her place. Today, President Obama was in Philadelphia where he gave a speech on how the economy is improving. The Clinton campaign is likely going to focus on the economy since that is always one of the major issues of any presidential election. With President Obama going out and campaigning for Clinton, the Democrats hope to pull away from Donald Trump in the polls.

Since Hillary’s medical episode a few days ago, many in the media are now raising the question as to whether or not presidential candidates should be mandated to release their health records in order to allow voters to decide if the person they are voting for is healthy enough for the stress that comes with being President of the United States.
In the past, candidates running for President of the United States have volunteered their health records as a courtesy and as a way to make sure rumors of them being unfit to hold the office did not supersede their political vision for how they would lead if they were to win their election. Ironically, 20 years ago, the issue of health was a huge political topic surrounding Bill Clinton . Bill did not have an issue with releasing his health records and even went as far to give his doctors permission to speak freely in interviews about his health.
