Heidi Klum likely set out to be glamorous on tonight’s Emmy red carpet, but critics on the Internet are attacking the outfit as anything but glamorous.
In an article posted on the San Jose Mercury News ‘ website, the star of Project Runway was described as being among the worst dressed, with a few insults thrown in the mix.
“Heidi Klum makes us want to quack in her fashion choice for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles,” the newspaper wrote below a caption of the model.
Things were no better for the German superstar over at the Mirror , where the British tabloid described her outfit in detail .
German supermodel Heidi Klum decided to buck the trend of simple, failsafe gowns and decided to go all out in a very bright yellow Atelier Versace creation at the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
The Project Runway host made sure she had all eyes on her as she took to the red carpet at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles with a host of other famous faces.
The star was showing off her toned arms and legs in the sheer creation which she teamed with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and matching yellow heels.
Many websites, including the Mirror , are pointing to the insults flowing in on Twitter as a sign of how Heidi Klum’s wardrobe choice had become its own trend online.
Twitter user Erin Ryan said the “worst dress of the #Emmys totally goes to the shower curtain that Heidi Klum is wearing.”
User @Zhaklin commented , “Sorry but #HeidiKlum’s dress was a mess #Emmys #RedCarped #fashion,” while @blueyedblonde45 used Klum’s native German to get her insult noticed online, saying, “Heidi Klum’s @TheEmmys dress is a definite ‘Auf wiedersehen’ moment. Kiss her on both cheeks and send her home.”
The insults from social media did not stop, either. Twitter user @evelinav said , “Heidi Klum’s dress looks like she rolled around on the ground in a chick pen and the feathers stuck to her.” And last but not least, Twitter user @gobacktopoland channeled @blueyedblonde45 and used Klum’s native Germany to insult the model: “Also@ heidi klum’s dress she looks like a walking wheat crop from her small bavarian home village ‘she was never in paris we didn’t know ha’.”
