Heidi Hoback has built up a decent following as something of an Instagram celebrity, but now the online model is finding viral fame after she exposed NBA star LeBron James for his corny DM skills.
Hoback has close to 115,000 followers on Instagram, where she shared bikini-clad pictures of herself in modeling poses and outdoor adventures, like hunting and fishing. It was this outdoor prowess that apparently caught the eye of LeBron, who slid into her DMs with an offer to exchange knowledge.
“Teach me how to hunt and I’ll teach you how to play ball. Deal? lol” LeBron wrote.
Heidi Hoback decided to share the exchange with the world, posting it for her followers with a call-out to LeBron. As Bro Bible noted, Hoback appeared to send some very long messages back to LeBron, but she didn’t choose to share the contents of those when she exposed the Cleveland Cavaliers star.
This is not the first time that LeBron James has gotten caught sending private messages to Instagram models. A few years ago, he was busted by Instagram star Rachel Bush, who is now the fiancé of Buffalo Bills cornerback Justin Poyer. It was a controversial exchange, as LeBron and wife Savannah Brinson have been together since high school and the alleged exchange appeared to be inappropriate for a married man.
There were rumors at the time that LeBron may be stepping out on his wife.
“Rumors started swirling Tuesday that Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James was cheating on wife Savannah Brinson with Instagram model Rachel Bush,” the International Business Times reported. “Screenshots of their purported direct message conversations were slathered over the internet.”
LeBron never spoke publicly on the rumor, and he and Savannah Brinson still appear to be a happy couple.
The exchange with LeBron James seems to have helped the popularity of Heidi Hoback. Since the interaction, the Instagram model has seen a big jump in popularity, gaining thousands of new followers within hours of internet news outlets picking up her story.
There are also many pictures of Heidi Hoback circulating around social media, including many showing her love of the outdoors. The boost in popularity could be a boon to the Instagram model, who has a link to her own store on Etsy at the top of her social media page.
