Glee star Naya Rivera has been very open about her journey to motherhood. The star has spent the entire summer sharing moments of her pregnancy with her fans on Instagram and Twitter. Now, the star has taken it to the next level by baring all in a new photo shoot.
The new photo shoot is for Yahoo. We don’t exactly know if Rivera was giving Yahoo an interview or if the star was just using Yahoo to commemorate a special time in her life. Either way, Naya decided to share photos with her fans in anticipation for “Baby Dorsey.”
The actress posted a photo of her posing sideways in a chic black dress that hugged her prominent baby bump. Rivera captioned it with, “Check out my pregnancy shoot with @yahoo! I love that I have been able to share this special journey with you.”

Dorsey is, of course, the last name of her husband, Ryan Dorsey. The two were married in a quick wedding in Cabo San Luca in July of 2014 after she ended her engagement to rap star, Big Sean. At the time, the two released a statement to People magazine, “We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife. Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for.” The two knew each other for four years before dating.
Rivera recently shared a photo of the happy couple at her baby shower with the caption, “We were blown away by how beautiful our cake for the baby shower was! @hansencakes turned my favorite childhood book into a sweet treat!” The cake was designed to look like the cover of Rivera’s favorite book, “Love You Forever.”
In addition to sharing photos of herself throughout the pregnancy, Rivera has also taken up mommy blogging as well. In her latest post for E!, she shared how it felt to reach the third trimester of her pregnancy.
“When I reached the final leg of my pregnancy, I was ecstatic. I could see the finish line and it felt so good. Sure, my back was on fire and I was tipping the scales at numbers I didn’t think I could ever reach, but who cares?! WE’RE ALMOST DONE! Being in my third trimester means hard work is ahead and every day a new body part aches or seemingly falls apart. But it also comes with its share of really fun and exciting things too.”
She continued, “I’m so grateful that not only is our baby already surrounded with so much love, but that we are fortunate and able to provide a great life for the little one.”
