Gigi Hadid revealed some sad news on Instagram today; her cat Chub, a regular on her social media pages, has passed away. Fortunately for Gigi, her boyfriend, former One Direction member Zayn Malik, is there for her.
In her latest post, the supermodel posted a throwback picture with her cat and her boyfriend, captioning it , “:( we love you always chub?…”
The picture shows Hadid, 20, cuddling with her boyfriend Zayn Malik, 23, and her ginger cat Chub (in memory of whom she posted this picture). Malik is kissing her smiling face and the two of them — plus Chub — seem perfectly content and happy to be together.

Gigi’s earlier Instagram posts show that her boyfriend Zayn is attached to Chub as well. A few weeks ago, the supermodel Instagrammed a photo of Malik cradling the cat in his hands comfortably.
Seeing as Zayn Malik is so comfortable with his girlfriend’s pet, he is probably consoling her on her loss right now.
The couple, who were first linked together in November 2015, officially confirmed their relationship in February this year, after Zayn released his steamy music video, Pillowtalk, featuring none other than Gigi Hadid.
While the couple had been piling on the PDA ever since they had first been spotted together, it was only in February that Zayn Malik announced in an interview that he and Gigi were a couple.
As reported by E! Online , a fan asked Zayn Malik a question during an interview with Zach Sang and the Gang.
“Was it cool to have your girlfriend in the video?”
Malik responded, “Uh, yeah. That was cool. it was something. We enjoyed it. It was fun.”
Then, one of the co-hosts followed up with a second question: “No one easier to make out with than your own girlfriend, right?”
“Exactly,” Malik added.

With that, the former One Direction star went on-record with his romantic relationship to the supermodel, after the release of his single “Pillowtalk.”
However, the single itself was very steamy, even featuring a make-out session (which was alluded to in the interview) between Gigi Hadid and the singer. While most fans were certain of Malik’s and Hadid’s relationship, both Gigi and Zayn remained silent on their relationship status.
Once, as reported by Us Magazine , immediately after the release of ‘Pillowtalk,’ Zayn Malik even said that him and Gigi were just “good friends.”
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have come a long way since the first rumors of their relationship back in November.
This new Instagram picture, depicting their blossoming relationship, is itself a surprise; the couple tend to keep a low profile on social media. However, Zayn’s tender kiss and Gigi’s wide smile in their latest Instagram post does show that the couple are seemingly very much in love.
From denying all relationship rumors to this new Instagram picture in just a month, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid certainly seem to be getting serious very quickly.
An inside source told E! Online that Gigi Hadid is definitely very invested in the relationship and she is getting serious about Zayn Malik; the supermodel’s “friends think this is going to last!”
Comparing Zayn Malik with Hadid’s ex-flame Joe Jonas, the insider continued to say it is much different this time around. Clearly, Gigi and Zayn (fans have dubbed them Zigi) are in it for the long run and this Instagram post is just one small signifier.
Following the release of his single “Pillowtalk,” Zayn Malik is all set to release his new album Mind of Mine on March 25.
