South Korean rapper Psy (a.k.a. PSY) will perform his viral megahit “ Gangnam Style ” live at halftime of an upcoming NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills will be playing a “home” game in Toronto, Ontario, on December 16 at the Rogers Centre, and Psy will be headlining the halftime show there. According to The Hollywood Reporter , this will be Psy’s first Canadian appearance; it’s also his first performance at a football game. The Seahawks-Bills game kicks off at 4:05 pm Eastern Time.
It will be a large production. The Bills’ website announced that “PSY’s halftime performance will feature more than 60 dancers, Buffalo Jills Cheerleaders, and hundreds of contest winners.”
You have to give Psy and his management team a lot of credit. The K-pop star is striking while the iron is hot by making a seemingly endless number of personal appearances at all kinds of entertainment venues in North America.
Psy got some further career-boosting good news today. As The Inquisitr has reported , “Gangnam Style,” stole the title of most-watched YouTube video of all time away from Justin Bieber’s video for “Baby.” Psy’s dance video has now earned over 805,000,000 views since it was first posted in July.
As it turns out, Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen will provide the halftime entertainment at the Grey Cup game tomorrow. The Grey Cup is the championship game of the Canadian Football League (CFL) which will also take place at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Psy recently signed a US recording contract with Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun.
