Alain Robert, the Frenchman who is better known as “Spiderman” – thanks to his unique passion for climbing up tall buildings, is back in the news again. In his latest feat, the 52-year-old Alain recently climbed up a 1007-foot (307-meter) tower in Dubai, reports ITV News . On Sunday, Robert climbed up the interesting looking, 75-story Twisted tower known as the Cayan Tower in a little over an hour. The Cayan Tower is located in the prestigious Dubai Marina neighborhood and is a complex structure.

Alain, who generally does not use safety harnesses or precautionary measures on all of his climbs, reportedly only used a chalk and sticky tape as “accessories” to aid his climb. The climb atop the Cayan Tower was completed even though its ledges had hardly any space for Alain’s feet, the ITV report said. A video showcasing his 70-minute climb atop the Cayan Tower has been posted on YouTube as well.

For Alain, who has successfully managed to scale several of the tallest buildings on the planet – the task of scaling the Cayan Tower might have been actually very easy. For a man who has also scaled the tallest structure ever built by humans – the 2,717-foot (828-meter) Burj Khalifa, nothing is too tall. In 2011, Alain Robert was in the news after he managed to scale the Burj Khalifa. However, in order to comply with the regulations of the organizers of that climb, Alain had to wear harnesses and safety equipment.

Among the structures that Alain has scaled include the Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, Petronas Towers, the Sears Tower, and the Jin Mao Tower. In his attempts to scale the Petronas tower, Alain was arrested several times by Malaysian authorities who intercepted him and did not allow him to reach the top. In 2009, however, he did eventually manage to scale the Petronas Towers – one of the tallest buildings in the world.
