Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello is reportedly dating up and coming singer Shawn Mendes. The two were caught flirting backstage at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas over the weekend.
According to a new report via E! Online , the “Stitches” singer was caught photo-bombing the Fifth Harmony cutie on camera.
When asked whether or not he and the Fifth Harmony singer would make a great couple, he jokingly responded, “We can’t do that! I mean Spanish and Canadian don’t really mix.”
Cabello, 18, added, “We actually hate each other in real life. We can’t stand each other.”
It doesn’t look like it, according to Camila Cabello’s Instagram pics. The fiery pop singer shared photos of herself with the 17-year-old Vine star. She shared one photo of herself resting on Mendes’ shoulder.
She captioned the adorable pic, “@shawnmendes and i are in desperate need of caffeine. #iheartradio”
Fans are already loving the Fifth Harmony singer’s new boyfriend. Some commented under the photo, “I ship them” and “Cute!”
It looks like Camila had her eyes set on the musician for some time. The 5H cutie shared a black-and-white dramatic clip of herself listening to Shawn Mendes sing and play his guitar. Camila was obviously smitten as she tossed back her gorgeous black hair and sang along with him.
She coyly captioned the video, “Give me my name? @shawnmendes”
According to the E! Online report, Cabello and Mendes have been friends for some time now. They got well-acquainted when Mendes toured with Austin Mahone and Fifth Harmony. An inside source told the celebrity gossip site that the two singers adore each other and even appreciate each other’s silly sense of humor.
It was also rumored that the Canadian singer and Fifth Harmony performer were sending each other flirty text messages to each other.
It was first revealed when Shawn tweeted the Fifth Harmony star saying, “@camilacabello97 is the worst at texting.”
Camila then responded, “I will get better at texting when u go to sleep after 10pm grandpa.”
Mendes even tweeted that he needs to brush up on his Spanish skills since speaking with the Latina.
Cabello responded, “Don’t worry, you’ll learn fast because you have an INCREDIBLE Spanish teacher whose name rhymes with Vamila Carmello.”
Neither the “Life of the Party” singer nor the 5h singer has confirmed their relationship status on social media.
Camila Cabello last dated Austin Mahone for most of 2014. The two ended their relationship late last year, when the Fifth Harmony singer broke the news to Kiss 96.1 during her interview.
“We’re actually not together anymore. Hey, things happen… I need some mistletoe action,” she said.
