For famous folks, everything is complicated; just ask Taylor Swift. Calvin Harris, Swift’s current boyfriend, has been on the receiving end of tabloid reports as of late that their relationship is on the skids. The prime suspects behind the young lovers’ purported schism are Swift’s coterie of gal pals, including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and Jamie King. But as rumors swirl regarding the mounting disharmony between the Swifties and Taylor’s main squeeze, new reports have emerged indicating that things are going swimmingly between the couple.
As recently reported by Inquisitr , 31-year-old DJ Calvin Harris apparently struggles with the close-knit camaraderie of the women in Taylor Swift’s inner circle, feeling like he’s a low priority compared to her BFF squad. In fact, Harris has allegedly lost his temper about the whole situation while Swift’s friends have apparently urged the multi-platinum artist to dump her beau and move on with her life.
Celebrity news repository Hollywood Life says the above-note reports aren’t exactly on the money, though. The web site quotes an unnamed source who maintains that everything is copacetic between Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris these days.
“Taylor is madly in love and the reports of trouble in paradise is simply not true. In Taylor’s eyes, Calvin can do no wrong and as far as him having a bad temper, he’s like a pussycat with Taylor.”
Nevertheless, there’s more to the story as a number of news outlets have reported that Taylor Swift has been romantically linked to someone in her touring act. Irish news source Independent cites other accounts claiming that Swift is “fixated” on backup dancer Kim “Toshi” Davidson but one of Swift’s friends spoke to British magazine Heat anonymously, refuting that particular claim.
“Taylor would never cheat on anyone,” the source told Heat . “She’s been hurt so many times by cheaters in the past, she’s the last person to do that to someone else. She’s madly in love with Calvin, and it’s rare that an hour goes by that they’ve not communicated in some way while she’s been on the road. They FaceTime every night and he’s the first person she talks to every morning.”
The constant circulation of rumors and intrigue would surely put some degree of stress on virtually any relationship, whether it’s between big-name celebrities or unassuming suburbanites. For their part, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris seem willing to side-step salacious tales and whisper campaigns as they continue to cultivate their budding romance. At the end of the day, if their love can endure despite the pressures of fame, then their relationship might ultimately withstand the test of time.
