Sometimes a new coat of paint, some new fixtures, a different back splash or a minor accessory is all you need to give a room an entirely new feeling when you walk in. Refurbishing the furniture in a room is not only cheaper than going to the store and purchasing an entire new collection, but it also gives the “designer” a new sense of creativity and sense of accomplishment. Not to mention, designing on a budget is much more wallet friendly than the alternative.

There are so many options out there to offer ideas to redesign the perfect living space for you. There is an entire network on TV to help guide you through every room in your home, including the curb appeal and backyard. The Home and Garden Television network, HGTV, also offers you step by step instructions on their website as well as their monthly magazine.

If you don’t mind putting in a little elbow grease, you can recreate an entire bedroom set for the cost of a gallon of paint, saving you hundreds of dollars and still giving you a completely new surrounding.

See Video Below on how to refurbish a side chair.

Like most people today, staying on budget is very important in today’s economy. People have also taken up the hobby of waking up early and going to the local flea market, estate sales and garage sales. One man’s trash can truly be another man’s treasure. The popular TV show, “Flea Market Flip” shows you how easy it is to actually make the show your own reality. Older looking, funky, and antique style furniture is now the new trend among the design on a dime life style.

Everything old can and will be new again. With a creative mind and a little bit of time and effort, you can create a space that is all your own for less than you thought possible.
