Newlyweds Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell are expecting.
“Evan Rachel Wood and husband Jamie Bell confirmed that they are expecting their first child later this year,” Wood’s representative told Us Weekly . “The couple is thrilled.”
Wood, 25, and Bell, 26, married on October 30, 2011 in California. Shortly after the wedding, there were rumors that Wood was pregnant. Wood denied them, tweeting in November, “Sorry to disappoint! But no baby on the way here.”
Wood tweeted Friday, “Remember when i said, ‘No baby on the way here’ Well I didn’t know there actually was!” Accompanying the tweet was a photo of What To Expect When You’re Expecting .
She then thanked her fans, tweeting, “Thanks for all your warm wishes. We are very happy. I’m gonna be a mama!”
The baby’s gender and due date have yet to be announced.
The soon-to-be parents met in 2005 on the set of the video for Green Day’s “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and dated on and off before finally tying the knot. Wood had previously been engaged to Marilyn Manson, whom she dated from 2006 to 2010.
The True Blood actress was once described by The Guardian as “ one of the best actresses of her generation .”
Bell is best known for his roles in Billy Elliot , Jumper , and The Adventures of Tintin .
