Country singer Eric Church and his wife Katherine have announced the birth of their first child Boone McCoy.
Boone was born at 8:35 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3. and weighed in at 7 lbs., 11oz.
Katherine gave birth in Nashville, Tennessee and following the birth of Boone his dad released the following statement:
“Everybody always tells you what an awesome and unique experience being a parent is. Words can never do the feeling justice.”
Eric went on to add:
“I am very thankful and blessed to have a healthy and happy baby boy and baby mama.”
“It will be interesting to see how this new chapter in our life manifests itself musically,” he adds. “I’ve always made music that was representative of real life. Life doesn’t get more real than having a newborn at home.”
With a new album released on July 26 and hit songs playing on the radio it’s definitely not a bad time to be Eric Church.
