Emma Watson’s name has become synonymous with feminism and gender equality lately. After her speech to the United Nations about the inequality between sexes went viral, Emma Watson has become something of a champion of women’s rights. To keep up the momentum of the cause, Watson announced on her Facebook fan page that she’ll be hosting a “live conversation” on the He For She movement she started, allowing fans to speak with the Harry Potter star in real time and ask her questions.
According to E! , the event will take place this coming Sunday, March 8, live on Emma Watson’s Facebook page. She invited all of her fans and followers to join her for the question and answer session in a brief video promoting the broadcast.
“This is very exciting and I hope that you will also be excited because I am going to be conducting a live Q&A in London answering questions about gender equality,” Watson says in the video.
Emma Watson also captioned the post and assigned her potential viewers with a bit of homework, asking them to write up personal stories about how they are helping to bring gender equality to the world.

If you’re in London and would like to be there in person, tell me how you are making a personal impact to advance gender equality. Emma Watson seems to have willingly championed herself as an advocate of both men’s and women’s rights, reminding the world that feminism helps both sexes. Watson has used her squeaky clean reputation to paint feminism in a more positive light, since some people believe the word as negative connotation.
“Women are choosing not to identify as feminists,” Emma Watson explained in her speech to the U.N. “Why has the word become such an uncomfortable one?… I think it is right that socially, I am afforded the same respect as men.”
