According to Page Six , 28-year-old Elyse Tirrell is about to become the Monica Lewinsky of the cooking world. That’s because Bobby Flay’s marriage to Stephanie March ended when the 40-year-old March discovered her Food Network star husband, 50-year-old Flay, was carrying on a three-year-long adulterous affair with Elyse Tirrell, his 28-year-old assistant.
The Law & Order: SVU star’s close friend, Maia Madison, reported that Stephanie uncovered the affair after the Thanksgiving holiday, and packed her bags to leave Flay. March turned to her good friend to cry on her shoulder and confess that the past decade had been a lie once she realized Bobby had been cheating with Tirrell.
According to the Flay website , Elyse is called a member of his “B-Team,” joining the crew in 2012. Prior to that time, she was showing off her singing skills in YouTube videos. Tirrell has toured Japan and started working with Bobby’s enterprise as a hostess in 2008 at Bar American — a New York spot offering “upscale cuisine from chef Flay,” that’s a go-to of a “cavernous spot for pre-theater & business diners” — before becoming his “master scheduler” and assistant.
As for March, she reportedly sobbed “uncontrollably” when the affair was revealed and told Madison about the times Elyse acted weirdly around her — and Stephanie took it upon herself to comfort the younger woman.
“Elyse had always seemed so nervous when Stephanie came to one of the restaurants, and Stephanie, not knowing what was happening, went out of her way to compliment her and try to make her more comfortable. Elyse had even been to Stephanie’s home when she was there — and when she wasn’t. Now this girl is about to become the Monica Lewinsky of the food world.”
As for Elyse’s online profile, her Twitter page is now private, and yet she can be seen in plenty of B-Team videos on YouTube talking about techie topics like Uber and other ways to survive using technology.
Back when Flay praised his B-Team as the secret to his success, as reported by the Daily Meal, it hadn’t yet been revealed that Elyse and Bobby were reportedly engaged in an affair. Now that this nugget of information has been unveiled to the public, it will be interesting to see how it plays into the contentious divorce for the man who is worth $9 million.
As reported by the Inquisitr , adulterous affairs, such as the one Hank Baskett reportedly engaged in that infuriated Kendra Wilkinson, can cause emotions to run high and either ruin marriages — or act as a catalyst on the road to forgiveness.
