Eiza Gonzalez isn’t ready to talk about her possible romance with the newly single Liam Hemsworth.
The Mexican singer and actress has been linked to Hemsworth after the two were spotted partying together in Las Vegas and again in Los Angeles a few days later.
At her first public appearance since being linked to Hemsworth — a media event in Mexico City to promote her work on the Spanish-language version of the Disney movie The Croods — Eiza Gonzalez was less than thrilled to be answering questions about the possible relationship.
“I have nothing to say about that subject,” Gonzalez told a crowd of eager reporters, who were shouting questions like “What would you say to Miley Cyrus?”
Instead, Eiza tried to keep the press conference focused on her work and her move to Los Angeles to break into Hollywood.
“I’m happy and I’m focused on my work…it’s incredible to be able to work with 20th Century Fox and to keep opening doors for Mexicans and Latins in the United States. When I was a girl there wasn’t anything in Spanish in the movies until you saw it on DVD. I’m happy and I’m waiting for a lot more work to come.”
Liam Hemsworth is just off a split with singer Miley Cyrus, who reportedly ended the relationship due to “other women” being involved. Eiza Gonzalez would not be one of those women, however. She met up with Liam at the VIP area at XS in the Encore Resort in Las Vegas, a chance encounter.
Eiza Gonzalez is single herself , just getting out of a long-term relationship Pepe Diaz before moving to the United States.
“She had a very good boyfriend,” a source said. “They dated for about two years. Like any other girl, she was upset.”
Those who want to know more about Eiza Gonzalez and Liam Hemsworth will have to wait, it seems. When questions about their relationship grew more intense, Eiza picked up her bag and left the press conference.
