Eiza Gonzalez had never met Liam Hemsworth before the two ran into each other in a Las Vegas club, but now the Mexican actress and singer appears to be getting cozy with the recently single actor.
Gonzalez was first seen with Hemsworth at the VIP area at XS in the Encore Resort on Saturday night, leading to speculation that Liam may have moved on quickly after his three-year relationship with Miley Cyrus went up in smoke.
“They were there separately. She was there with some friends,” a source told E! News , adding that Hemsworth happened to be in town for the Mayweather-Alvarez bout.
Eiza Gonzalez actually just moved to Los Angeles this month as she tries to break into show business in America. The 23-year-old singer and actress has already made a name for herself as a telenovela star in her native Mexico, and now hopes to take on Hollywood roles as well.
She is signed on to do a movie in early 2014, and also had a voice part in the Spanish-language version of the Disney cartoon The Croods .
The reports that Liam and Eiza hadn’t met don’t seem to preclude the idea that they may have hooked up. Eiza Gonzalez is single herself, having ended a long-term relationship with boyfriend Pepe Diaz before moving to the United States.
“She had a very good boyfriend,” a source said. “They dated for about two years. Like any other girl, she was upset.”
Liam Hemsworth and Eiza Gonzalez were actually seen together again after their encounter on Saturday. Two days later, they were spotted leaving Hemsworth’s home together and getting into a car.
While Gonzalez could not have been the cause of Liam and Miley’s split, sources say there were “other women” involved .
A source said the breakup was “Miley’s decision, after coming to grips with Liam being what she believed was less than faithful to her.”
Sources also said that Liam Hemsworth was in the process of moving his things out of the home he shared with Miley Cyrus on the very same day he was spotted with Eiza Gonzalez.
