Eazy-E Death Joke Surfaces After ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Release, Did Suge Knight Kill Rapper? [Video]

Rapper Eazy-E’s death may have been a set-up, according to recent rumors following the theatrical release of Straight Outta Compton . Back in 1993, Death Row Records’ Suge Knight had said something about the “gangsta” rapper and co-founder of NWA, which may or may not have led to his untimely death two years later.

It may only be a rumor, but the timing was disturbing.

Eazy-E was known for his unapologetically dirty and shocking lyrics, a trait which helped launch fellow NWA members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre into their own solo careers. Later on, Death Row Records co-founder Dr. Dre had entertained the idea of a rivalry between them. Eazy-E started it with his solo track “Real Compton City G’s,” to which Dr. Dre responded with “F*** wit Dre Day.” The musical rivalry might have gone further if Eazy-E hadn’t died of complications due to AIDS at the age of 31.

The disturbing part of it came from a video two years prior in which Suge Knight had seemingly predicted Eazy-E’s death and offered a reason behind it on Jimmy Kimmel Live . Suge had asked Kimmel why he was wearing a bulletproof vest.

“If you shoot somebody, you go to jail forever. You don’t want to go to jail forever … They have a new thing out. They have this stuff they called … they get blood from somebody with AIDS and they shoot you with it. That’s [a] slow death. The Eazy-E thing, you know what I mean?”

The Death Row Records mogul didn’t show any problem with saying it, laughing as he puffed away at his cigar.

It’s not currently known if Suge Knight had something to do with the rapper’s demise, but the accuracy with which he predicted the cause of Eazy-E’s death was enough to raise the public’s proverbial eyebrows. Apparently, with the video having gone viral, the NWA biopic wasn’t the only thing having come “straight out of Compton.”

Do you think an investigation should be opened to determine if Suge Knight killed Eazy-E?
