With Sony’s Action Cam Mini strapped to his back, Darshan the eagle took off from the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and provided an amazing bird’s eye view whilst breaking a world record.
Darshan is the first eagle to fly from the top of the 2722-foot building, which was done in an effort to raise awareness to eagle conservation.
The eagle’s Saturday morning flight captured amazing views of the surrounding United Arab Emirates’ capital before landing on the arm of his trainer, falconer Jacques-Olivier Travers.

According to the Daily Mail , the white-tailed eagle has been critically endangered for more than 50 years – and has previously flown from the top of St Paul’s Cathedral in London and the Eiffel Tower in France.
The event was organized by the Freedom Conservation , an organization that seeks to promote awareness of the endangered eagles. The group aims to protect and reintroduce the birds into their natural habitat.
