Dr. Conrad Murray forced a tired and weakened Michael Jackson to perform at the behest of concert promoter AEG Live, leading to the singer’s death, a wrongful death lawsuit claims.

The suit, which was filed by Michael Jackson’s mother and children against AEG Live, is moving toward a jury trial, SPIN reported. Jackson’s lawyers say they have come across proof that Dr. Conrad Murray went against the pop singer’s health concerns and forced him to perform.

Murray is already serving a prison sentence for involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson’s death and apparently i sn’t doing very well behind bars . He has told prison doctors that he couldn’t put his feet up in a cell and was developing blood clots he thought would kill him.

In a conversation between Murray and a friend that TMZ obtained a recording of, Murray said:

“It progressed until the leg felt numb … it was painful all to the top of my foot … around the medial aspect of my ankle and all the way to the mid-calf,” Murray said of the deadly blood clot in his leg that he thinks he suffers from. “Blood clots are relatively risky … especially if they propagate from the legs into the lungs to cause pulmonary embolism which can result in permanent disability or even death.”

Dr. Conrad Murray’s trial seems to be adding to his predicament. As CNN has reported, less than two weeks before Jackson’s death, AEG Live CEO Paul Gongaware wrote to Murray pressuring him to keep Jackson performing despite medical concerns.

“We want to remind [Murray] that it is AEG, not MJ, who is paying his salary,” CNN quoted Gongaware as writing. “We want to remind him what is expected of him.”

Further emails show that AEG Live officials knew of Jackson’s health concerns.

Dr. Conrad Murray has maintained that it was stress that killed Michael Jackson, not his own actions.
