Dorinda Medley has been seen with a man named John on The Real Housewives of New York City , but according to a new report, the reality star’s current boyfriend isn’t the love of her life. That title belongs to another man, who tragically died several years ago.
On April 23, Radar Online reported Dorinda Medley’s husband, Richard, was a “respected financial analyst and former speechwriter for Democratic Vice Presidential nominee, Geraldine Ferraro,” before his untimely death in 2011.
At just 60-years-old, Richard, who was married to Dorinda Medley for nearly six years, passed away from liver failure after being hospitalized at the New York Presbyterian Medical Center.
“Richard was the love of [Dorinda Medley]’s life, and his death hit her very, very hard. Even though [Dorinda Medley] has since begun dating another man, Richard will always be the love of her life.”
Prior to Richard, Dorinda Medley was married to an English man, and the two share a 21-year-old daughter named Hannah.
While Richards was the love of Dorinda Medley’s life, she has since moved on with another man. For the last two years, the newest housewife in New York City has been dating John Madhessian, who restores wedding dresses, furs, and couture gowns for high-end fashion dry cleaner Madame Paulette.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Dorinda Medley recently opened up about the currently airing seventh season of The Real Housewives of New York City . Speaking to OK! Magazine , via Bravo’s Daily Dish , Dorinda Medley discussed her thoughts on her co-stars .
“Sonja Morgan and I hit it off right away because she’s just so wacky.
“I had some issues with Kristen Taekman. She’s younger and comes from a different background, but we sorted things out.”
As for the returning housewife, Bethenny Frankel, Dorinda Medley was a bit nervous.
“I was very curious, and slightly frightened, to meet her, but we get along well. She brings back the old-school tone of the show, so I think she’s a great addition.”
As fans will recall, Frankel returned to The Real Housewives of New York City for Season 7 after taking three seasons off. During her hiatus, Frankel appeared on several shows, including Bethenny Getting Married , Bethenny Ever After , and Bethenny , before finally agreeing to return to Bravo in October of last year.
