Recently it was announced that Arsenio Hall’s return to television was short lived as CBS put an end to the struggling late night show. Although Hall’s return to television prematurely ended last week , don’t count Arsenio out just yet.

There’s a good chance that three times a charm for Hall, who is not yet ready to give up his dreams of a grand return to late night. According to Arsenio’s manager John Ferriter, who spoke with The Wrap , Hall may not be done just yet.

“There’s been an outpouring of support. We started getting calls over the weekend.”

In a brief statement CBS Television Production said of the cancellation:

“While there are many loyal fans of the show, the series did not grow its audience enough to continue. Arsenio is a tremendous talent and we’d like to thank him for all the hard work and energy he put into the show. We’d also like to thank Tribune and all our station group partners for their support of the show.”

Arsenio Hall made a statement after the news broke and seemed hopeful despite the cancellation:

“When I started this adventure, we all knew it would be a challenge. I’m gratified for the year we’ve had.”

Later on Hall expressed his sadness about the show’s cancellation through Twitter:

? I lost my job… AND The Clippers, in a 48 hour period! #badweek … Love y’all…

Hey @MagicJohnson I dreamed that they picked up my show for season 2, then changed their minds, and cancelled the show. Had to be a dream.

According to Arsenio’s manager, after CBS cancelled The Arsenio Hall Show on Friday , the calls started flooding with other outlets that were willing to step forward for some “early talks” to possibly reboot the series. According to The Wrap , networks that are rumored to be courting Arsenio are E! , BET , and OWN , but two of those networks denied these conversations were happening. An insider at E! was very blunt in saying that Hall was “too old” for the demographic that they’re going for. Right now no one is coming forward to confirm the early talks but it wouldn’t be surprising that Hall would give it another go.

Once upon a time Arsenio was one of the most popular hosts of late night. From 1989 to 1994 Arsenio was a staple on late night television right along with the big names we know today. After his show ended the first time around Arsenio pretty much disappeared from the public eye until he made his triumphant return on the 2012 season of The Apprentice . Stay tuned for more news about a possible second comeback.
