Donovan McNabb has been suspended indefinitely by Fox following his second DUI arrest.
According to ESPN , the Fox Sports commentator was suspended after his June 28 arrest for driving under the influence. This incident marked the second DUI arrest for the former NFL player in two years.
According to a previous report by the Inquisitr , the 38-year-old former quarterback rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped at a red light around 11:35 p.m. on July 28. The Gilbert Police Department dispatched officers to the scene of the accident and found that McNabb was drunk. He was arrested and taken to a nearby precinct for booking. Luckily, no one was injured in the accident.
The Gilbert Police issued a statement following the arrest, Deadspin reports.
“On 06/28/2015 at approximately 2335 hours, officers responded to a non-injury collision involving two vehicles which occurred just west of the intersection at E Chandler Heights Rd and S Higley Rd in Gilbert, AZ. Subsequent investigation revealed Donovan McNabb (11/25/76) was impaired by alcohol and collided in a rear-end fashion with another vehicle which was stopped at a red traffic signal. Donovan was arrested for DUI at 2358 hours and transported to the Gilbert/Chandler Unified Holding Facility for processing, after which, he was cited and released.”
His prior DUI arrest occurred in December, 2013, in Maricopa County, Arizona. At the time, it was reported that McNabb was pulled over for speeding at 3 a.m. and spent one day in an Arizona jail.
Now, McNabb has lost his job as a sports commentator for Fox.

“ Donovan McNabb has been suspended indefinitely ,” Fox Sports said in a statement to Sports Illustrated . “It is important that Donovan use this time as best he can to resolve his personal situation.” Donovan also spoke on his latest DUI arrest on his radio show last week.

“There was a story that was released, and I want everybody to be cognizant of it, because I am very aware of it, handling the matter at this particular point,” McNabb said according to Pro Football Talk . “But at this point, I have no further information, and as we continue on with the situation, then we’ll let it handle as it will handle itself.”
According to Arizona Law, if McNabb is convicted of the second offense , he could face a minimum of 90 days in jail and revocation of his driver’s license for one year.
