President Donald Trump’s obsession with his own height is quite well known. There have been instances where it was evident that the President’s official height of 6′ 3″ might not be accurate. During a September visit to the U.K., Trump appeared shorter than Prince William, who is also 6-foot-3.

However, despite having photographic evidence that he is shorter than he claims, Trump has never held himself back from criticizing others about their heights. Tom Cruise, the Oscar-winning Hollywood legend who is 5′ 7″, has also been a target of Trump’s height-related remarks.

At a McDonald’s Impact Summit in Washington on Monday, Trump talked about inviting the pilots who flew the B-2 bombers to attack the nuclear facilities of Iran back in June.

According to The Daily Beast, He said, “And we met ‘em, all handsome. They looked like Tom Cruise. They really did. I don’t want to be a wise guy and say ‘But taller.’ I’m not gonna say that. No. They’re perfect specimens. I mean, these guys are like from a movie. I could take every one of them and put them in a movie.”

OUR HERO OF THE DAY IS….

Tom Cruise, According to The Washington Post, Cruise was offered one of the Kennedy Center Honors that Trump announced yesterday, but he turned it down. The official reason was “scheduling conflicts” but this was clearly a snub of Trump.

The reference to Cruise, followed by the backhanded compliment that Trump made about him, was viewed by some commentators as unnecessary. However, this is not the first time that Trump has spoken about Cruise in a rather unfavorable light. Back in 2019, during a Michigan rally, Trump talked about the F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, saying, “We have the F-35s—it’s stealth—and I was at one of the areas where they’re displaying it and I went up to the pilots and, honestly, they’re better-looking than Tom Cruise.”

It is not quite clear why Trump repeatedly brings up Cruise because there is no documented feud between the two. Cruise himself does not actively draw political spotlight, and back in May, during the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning press conference, when he was asked his views on Trump’s tariffs and the effects they might have on the film industry, the actor politely refused to comment.

As reported by New York Post, Cruise said, “We’d rather answer questions about the movie. Thank you.” Therefore, it cannot be said that Trump dislikes Cruise because of his political stance. Nevertheless, Cruise has turned down the offer to be a part of the 2025 Kennedy Center honorees set to be held next month. The actor cited reasons of scheduling conflicts as the reason behind his absence.

🚨WTF: A slurring Trump just gave a bizarre, rambling address about hosting the Kennedy Center Honors – and demanded he receive a performing arts award himself. “I said, the hell with it. I’ll become chairman. And I’ll give myself an honor.”

Interestingly, there have been talks about Trump hosting the show, which was hosted by Queen Latifah last year. While announcing this year’s honorees, Trump said, “I’ve been asked to host. I said, ‘I’m the President of the United States. Are you fools asking me to do that?’ [They said] ‘Sir, you’ll get much higher ratings.’ I said ‘I don’t care. I’m President of the United States. I won’t do it.’ They said, ‘Please.’ … I said, ‘OK, I’ll do it.’ So, I have a great host [for the show].”

He further added, “Do you believe what I have to do? I didn’t want to do it,” he continued. “They’ll [his critics] say he insisted [on hosting]. I did not insist, but I think it will be quite successful, actually. It’s been a long time. I used to host The Apprentice finales and we did rather well with that. So, I think we’re going to do very well.”

Tom Cruise, on the other hand, continues to soar in his career. The actor received an honorary Oscar at the annual Governors Awards in Hollywood, which marks his first win after being nominated for the award four times in the past.
