Donald Trump once dated a famous Hollywood actress in his younger years, but the sparks just weren’t there.
As Trump runs for president in the GOP party, more about his past has come to the surface. This latest revelation was acknowledged by Donald himself last summer, however.
Candice Bergen talked to reporters at the American Songbook Gala in New York City Thursday evening. The 69-year-old actress shared that she and Donald Trump once met on a blind date. The pair were attending the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
“We had a blind date in college,” the actress told People .
Bergen was honest about the date, saying the evening was rather short and that there wasn’t much chemistry between them.
“It was a very short evening,” Bergen said.
No details were divulged from the actress. After all, that wouldn’t be a very nice thing to do.
The Murphy Brown star added that Trump was wearing a two-piece burgundy suit and burgundy boots. She said the Donald “was very coordinated.”
Bergen said Trump has been very nice to her ever since.

According to the report, Bergen told reporters that she’s not a Trump supporter in the 2016 presidential election. Rather, she supports Hillary Clinton as the nation’s next leader.
According to ABC News , Donald Trump and Candice Bergen’s first and only date took place in the 1960s. Trump confirmed last August that they had one date and that he found her beautiful.
As the Daily Mail wrote in its report , Candice thought Trump running for political office was funny, but now she’s concerned.
“I thought it was funnier a few months ago,” Bergen says of Trump’s campaign. “Now it’s worrying.”
Bergen attended Penn for two years until she had to leave because she was failing an art and an opera class. During her time at Penn, she was named both Homecoming Queen and Miss University.
Donald Trump is now married to Melania Trump, and he was married to Ivana Trump from 1977 to 1992. After his divorce from Ivana, he was married to Marla Maples from 1993 to 1999.
Candice Bergen was married to Louis Malle from 1980 to 1995 and is now wed to Marshall Rose, another New York City real estate magnate. They married in 2000.
Bergen’s stardom still shines brightly. She’s set to appear in the title role of Pearl . The ABC comedy is about a family matriarch diagnosed with terminal cancer who meddles in everyone’s life until she dies. The synopsis reads that the pilot involves “a larger-than-life family matriarch who, after she finds out she has cancer, becomes intent on controlling and orchestrating every aspect of her family’s life before she dies.”
The actress has been a ratings gold star for ABC. Murphy Brown aired on the network, and she’s also appeared on Boston Legal . Her other credits include Gandhi , Miss Congeniality , and Sex and the City . She recently had guest roles on The Michael J. Fox Show and Battle Creek .
Does it surprise you to hear that Donald Trump and Candice Bergen were once on a date together? This all took place well before Bergen was to become a huge Hollywood star. Donald Trump was already well on his way to becoming the super successful businessman he is today. At least there are no hard feelings between two and they probably laugh about the experience now.
