Is NBA star Blake Griffin a creationist rather then a believer in evolution?

Griffin added that the Earth is only about 6,000 years old in his opinion.
The power forward is famous for his deadpan commercials, leading to speculation that he might or might not have been kidding. According to Deadspin , “Now, Griffin is known to be a very witty guy who possesses a dry sense of humor, so it’s entirely possible that he was just joking. We really, really hope he was joking.”
Yesterday afternoon, the visiting Golden State Warriors defeated the Clippers by a score of 109 to 105 in game one of the first round of the 2014 NBA playoffs. The team also lost its home court advantage going into game two at the Staples Center Monday night. Owing to foul trouble, Griffin played only 19 minutes and finished with 16 points and three rebounds. Griffin also fouled out with 48.3 seconds left in the game. The Clippers scored zero points after Griffin’s departure.
While watching the replay of the foul call that ended his action for the day, Griffin threw his arms up in frustration and accidentally spilled a cup of water on a Warriors fan in the first row. Griffin said it wasn’t intentional. “I didn’t know what I did, but it wasn’t full. I apologize. It was water.”
As the world celebrates Easter, should personal religious beliefs held by Blake Griffin (or anyone else) on creationism or another faith-based issue matter at all?
