A new image has lead people to allege that Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders have rekindled their romanc e, almost a year after their fling ended his marriage to Liberty Ross.
The 23 year-old actress was seen climbing into the passenger seat of a dark car that was being driven by a man who bore a remarkable resemblance to her former lover. She had been dining at the Mexican restaurant, Malo Taqueria in Silver Lake, California, on Sunday with her friends before exiting.
What adds further fuel to the fire is the fact that Sanders owns the same kind of car, a black Acura, that Stewart was pictured getting inside of.
Stewart was seen getting into the car with the mystery man on the same day that her boyfriend, Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, jetted out of Los Angeles.
She was even at the restaurant where the actor threw a romantic birthday party for her last week.
Stewart and Sanders got together after he directed her in 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman . They were pictured kissing and cuddling in July 2012, and after it was revealed Stewart split from Pattinson despite releasing a statement apologising for her indiscretion.
She said at the time, “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’ms so sorry.”
Sanders also looked to keep his relationship with his wife, the model Liberty Ross, intact, stating, “I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
She later divorced the filmmaker, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.

It has been confirmed that the man wasn’t Rupert Sanders but was in fact a valet for the restaurant, and that the actress had driven a friend’s car to eat dinner with her friends, who are also close pals with Robert Pattinson too. Furthermore, the photo was actually taken on Friday April 19, not Sunday April 21, when the Twilight star was still in the country.
